Company: | LucasArts |
Product: | Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy |
Category: | Game, Simulation |
Problems: | Writes user data to the installation folder, cannot save games as a limited user.
Game shortcuts only appear as the user that installed the game. |
Workarounds: | Copy (don't move) the game shortcuts from the current user's Desktop and Start Menu folders to the "All Users" Desktop and Start Menu folders, and delete the original shortcuts. Copying ensures the system applies the correct NTFS permissions to the new shortcuts.
Grant Modify access for the following resource to the built-in Users group:
C:\Program Files\LucasArts
(If you have more than one LucasArts game, just change it for this folder. Most post-2000 LucasArts games have this problem.)
WARNING: This may expose your LucasArts games to abuse by limited users. |
