Company: | Adobe Systems Incorporated |
Product: | Macromedia Contribute 2.0 |
Category: | Web Page Design |
Problems: | When using Pan-Am's Lockdown tool or a Group Policy setting that permits only allowed applications, launching Contribute 2 with a limited account will display a pop-up window:
Error::CreateProcess
%userprofile%\locals~1\temp\~exxxxx.tmp: Access is denied.
Contribute 2 creates and uses temporary executables as part of its startup process. These are deleted when the program exits. |
Workarounds: | If you use the Lockdown tool, grant Execute permissions to the %temp% folder using a command line before launching Contribute 2:
cacls "%temp%" /e /g %userdomain%\%username%:F
You do not need to switch to an administrator account to use this command. If using a Group Policy setting or other tool that restricts applications, you may need to grant exceptions for applications with names similar to "~e*.tmp" so it can run.
WARNING: Other unwanted applications residing in %temp% may be permitted to launch after making this change. Regularly cleaning out %temp% using the Disk Cleanup Wizard (Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disk Cleanup) will help prevent this.
